ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE : A tire having a ratio H/B at most equal to 0.75, H being the radial height of the tire on its rim and B the maximum axial width of the tire, is improved due to the fact that be- tween the radial carcass reinforcement and the tread reinfor- cement there are arranged two limiting blocks which are located on opposite sides of the equatorial plane. Each limiting block consists of two superimposed plies of wires or cables of low ex- tensibility which form with the longitudinal direction angles of opposite sign, each at most equal to one-half of the smallest angle adopted for the tread reinforcement.
