A radial motor or pump has a stator (10) inside which a rotor (15) rotates. The stator carries one or more radial cylinders (L, M and N) in each of which a piston (20) is slidable. The end of each cylinder (L, M or N) or a ring (43) slidable therein bears against and is a sealing rubbing fit with the internal surface (12) of the stator (10). The pistons (20) are connected as by connecting rods (21) to a crank pin (22) of a crankshaft (24). Gears interconnect the stator, rotor and crankshaft to cause the rotor (15) and crankshaft (24) to rotate at the same speed but in opposite directions.
On décrit un moteur ou pompe radial(e) qui comprend un stator (10) à l'intérieur duquel tourne une roue à aubes (15). Ce stator comporte un ou plusieurs cylindres radiaux (L, M, N) dont chacun peut loger un piston (20). L'extrémité de chaque cylindre (L, M ou N), ou un anneau insérable dans ledit cylindre, s'appuie sur une surface interne (12) du stator (10) avec laquelle elle forme un dispositif d'étanchéité à frottement. Les pistons (20) sont raccordés comme par des des bielles de liaison (21) à un maneton de manivelle (22) d'un arbre à manivelle (24). Des engrenages interconnectent le stator, la roue à aubes et l'arbre à manivelle de sorte que la roue à aubes (15) et l'arbre à manivelle (24) tournent à la même vitesse mais dans des sens contraires.
