ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: In a fluid handling device of the radial piston type wherein piston shoes are located between pistons and a piston - stroke actuator member and wherein the fluid handling body which contains the cylinders has radial extensions, which are interrupted by said cylinders and wherein the piston shoes have intersecting recesses between their end portions for forming a central piston shoe portion of smaller size than that of the said interruptions between said radial extensions for the provision of entering of the piston shoe central portions into said interruptions for the purpose of providing a larghe piston stroke in the device novel and suitable improvements are provided on the pistons or piston shoes or in their immediate neighbourhood in order to increase the pressure and / or the rate of flow and / or the efficiency in the device and / or for the provision of a simplier and less expensive or less weight device of increased power and / or of efficiency, The improvements will be appearant from the following specification. - 1 -
