The invention concerns a tyre P with radial casing (1) of maximal width S0, comprising a breaker ply reinforcement (3) formed with at least two working breaker plies (32, 34) consisting of inextensible reinforcing elements, crisscrossed from one ply to the other while forming with the circumferential direction angles ranging between 10 DEG and 45 DEG , said plies having axial widths L32, L34 greater than width L33 of an additional ply (33) made of metal inextensible and substantially radial reinforcing elements. Said ply is arranged radially between said working plies, and said working plies (32, 34) being on either side of the equatorial plane and in the additional ply (33) radial extension coupled over an axial distance l not less than 3.5 % of the width S0, to be then separated by mixed rubber sections at least over the remaining length common to said working plies (32, 34).

Ladite nappe étant disposée radialement entre lesdites nappes de travail, et les dites nappes de travail (32, 34) étant de part et d'autre du plan équatorial et dans le prolongementaxial immédiat de la nappe additionnelle (33) couplées sur une distance axiale 1 au moins égale à 3,5 % de la largeur S0, pour être ensuite découplées par des profilés de mélange de caoutchouc au moins sur le restant de la largeur commune auxdites deux nappes de travail (32, 34).
