H?LS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT - PATENTABTEILUNG - A b s t r a c t Radiation-cured film webs are proposed which are prepared from copolyesters having hydroxyl terminal groups, not more than 90% of the said hydroxyl groups having been replaced by acrylate groups or methacrylate groups. The copolyesters must comprise at least two different dicar- boxylic acids, must have a copolymer chain which has been branched owing to the presence of polyester components having a functionality greater than two, and must have a glass transition temperature of -30 to +30°C and an average molecular weight of between 1,000 and 10,000. The film webs are particularly suitable as a backing carrier coated on one or both sides with pressure sensitive adhesives in the preparation of lables or as the backing carrier of adhesive tapes. 4424ab
