Provided is a radiation-curable, glass optical fiber coating composition which when suitably cured exhibits resistance to attack from hydrocarbon gel cable filling material. The composition contains about 10 to about 90 % by weight of a first radiation-curable oligomer; from 0 to about 40 % by weight of a reactive diluent; from 0 to about 40 % by weight of a photoinitiator; from 0 to about 10 % by weight of a pigment; and about 10 to about 90 % by weight of a second radiation- curable oligomer according to the following formula (1): R1 - L1 - C1 - L2 - R2, where R1 and R2, independently, each represents a radiation-curable functional group; L1 and L2, independently, each represents an alkyleneoxy chain having from about 2 to about 40 carbon atoms, wherein L1 and L2 are linked to C1 through an oxygen atom; C1 comprises a hydrocarbon having from about 5 to about 40 carbon atoms and containing at least one cyclic group.

L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement de fibre de verre optique, durcissable au rayonnement et qui, lorsqu'elle est correctement durcie, peut résister aux attaques du matériau de bourrage de câbles au gel hydrocarburé. Ladite composition contient environ 10 à 90 % en poids d'un premier oligomère durcissable au rayonnement; environ 0 à 40 % en poids d'un diluant réactif; environ 0 à 40 % en poids d'un photoamorceur; environ 0 à 10 % en poids d'un pigment; et environ 10 à 90 % en poids d'un second oligomère durcissable au rayonnement selon la formule (1) R<1> - L<1> - C<1> - L<2> - R<2>, dans laquelle R<1> et R<2> représentent chacun séparément un groupe fonctionnel durcissable au rayonnement; L<1> et L<2> représentent chacun séparément une chaîne alkylèneoxy à environ 2 à 40 atomes de carbone, L<1> et L<2> étant liés à C<1> par un atome d'hydrogène; C<1> comprend un hydrocarbure à environ 5 à 40 atomes de carbone et contenant au moins un groupe cyclique.
