A radiation detector which is to be inserted into a vessel so as to detect a radioactive substance accumulated in a tissue in vivo. Namely, in a detector which has a detection unit (2) provided with a bar-type scintillator (4) undergoing emission due to the incidence of radiation and by which a radioactive substance contained in a tissue in vivo is detected by transmitting the light from the scintillator via an optical fiber (10), the detection unit has such a size as allowing the insertion into a vessel and the scintillator has fine irregularity in its peripheral wall.

L'invention concerne un détecteur de rayonnement destiné à être inséré dans un récipient de façon à détecter une substance radioactive accumulée dans un tissu in vivo. Elle concerne principalement un détecteur comprenant une unité de détection (2) dotée d'un scintillateur, sous forme de tige (4), qui émet une lueur à l'arrivée d'un rayonnement et au moyen duquel une substance radioactive contenue dans un tissu in vivo est détectée par émission de la lueur du scintillateur à travers une fibre optique (10), la taille de l'unité de détection rendant possible son insertion dans un récipient, et le scintillateur possédant une fine irrégularité sur sa paroi périphérique.
