ABSTRACT: "Radiation-sensitive semiconductor device." In a radiation-sensitive semiconductor device, for example, a quadrant diode, consisting of several rec- tifying junctions (5) the mutual distance between said junctions (5) can be considerably reduced by keeping the junctions (5) cut off by means of circuit elements ( 11, 14) in such manner that associated depletion regions (12) touch each other. Charge carriers generated between two junctions (5) are substantially always collected by the good junction (5). A low crosstalk and good high-frequency properties can be realised. Furthermore, the semiconductor body (1) in which the rectifying junctions (5) are realised may comprise further circuit elements, which enables integration of the radiation-sensitive semiconductor device with other elements.
