ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a novel trough-shaped, arched radiation-shield or reflector for use with heating pipes. The reflector comprises a plurality of curved sections wherein the centre of curvature of the central curved section lies on the vertical axis of symmetry of the reflector or on the vertical axis of symmetry of the pipe. The centres of curvature of the laterally adjacent sections are displaced laterally outwardly on both sides by an equal amount with respect to the vertical axis of symmetry, and are displaced downwardly by an equal amount in relation to the centre of curvature of the central curved section and parallel to the axis of symmetry thereof. This reflector will not interfere with overhead lighting yet still ensures capture and use of heat radiation. Particular application may be made in greenhouses, warehouses and manufac- turing plants.
