ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for dispensing a radiation-curable adhesive substance employs a shutter for controlling the period of irradiation. A hand-held assembly, remote from the control unit of the system, permits convenient placement and curing of the adhesive deposit utilizing, respectively, a syringe for the containment of the substance and a light guide for transmitting the actinic radiation to the work site.
