A method of determining a patient dose during or prior to therapy from an external radiation beam includes determining a dose distribution from a patient plan as delivered in a QA phantom at each appropriate beam angle and comparing the dose distribution determined from measurements or calculations to a corresponding treatment planning system (TPS) dose modeled distribution in the QA phantom and providing a correction distribution when applied to the TPS dose modeled distribution results in the dose distribution determined. The correction distribution may optionally be interpolated to non-measured points for each beam angle and geometrically projected toward the source of radiation through a volume that equals a dose volume of the TPS for a patient beam for each beam angle. The correction distribution is applied to the TPS patient dose volume for each beam angle for providing a corrected dose distribution in the patient.
Un procédé de détermination dune dose destinée à un patient pendant ou avant une thérapie basée sur un faisceau de rayonnement externe comprend les étapes consistant à : déterminer une distribution de dose sur la base dun programme destiné au patient fourni dans un fantôme dassurance qualité pour chaque angle de faisceau approprié, comparer la distribution de dose déterminée à partir des mesures ou des calculs à une distribution modélisée de dose TPS (Treatment Planning System) dans le fantôme dassurance qualité, et produire une distribution de correction lors de lapplication aux résultats de distribution modélisés de la dose TPS dans la distribution de dose déterminée. La distribution de correction peut éventuellement être interpolée dans des points non mesurés pour chaque angle de faisceau et projetée géométriquement en direction de la source de rayonnement à travers un volume qui est égal à un volume de dose TPS pour un faisceau destiné au patient pour chaque angle de faisceau. La distribution de correction est appliquée au volume de la dose TPS destinée au patient pour chaque angle de faisceau pour assurer au patient une distribution de dose corrigée.
