A B R E G E D E S C R I P T I F La présente invention concerne un détecteur radioaltimétrique du type connu en soi comprenant un oscillateur-émetteur (10), un modulateur (20) apte à moduler la fréquence de l'oscillateur-émetteur selon une loi établie, un mélangeur recevant le signal issu de l'oscillateur-émetteur et un signal écho correspondant réfléchi par une cible, et un circuit discriminateur (50, 60) connecté en sortie du mélangeur. Selon l'invention, le modulateur (20) comprend une mémoire numérique (21) contenant une série de valeurs définissant la loi de modulation en fréquence de l'oscillateur-émetteur (10). (FIGURE 3).
