A method of detecting a signal (10, 10') between a token (12) and an electronic device (14) for authorizing a user (16) to access the electronic device (14). The method comprises the steps of emitting a signal (10, 10') containing data, detecting the signal (10, 10') with a plurality of antennas (18, 18'), and measuring the strength of the signal (10, 10') detected at each of the antennas (18, 18'). If the maximum signal strength detected by any of the antennas (18, 18') is above an operational threshold, the electronic device (14) will be enabled. If the signal (10, 10') is above the operational threshold, the signal (10, 10') is compared to a user code database for authorizing the user (16) to access the electronic device (14). The operational threshold may be lowered to account for any signal variances that may occur after the user (16) has been authorized to access or when accessing the electronic device (14).
L'invention concerne un procédé de détection d'un signal (10, 10') entre un jeton (12) et un dispositif électronique (14) destiné à autoriser un utilisateur (16) à accéder au dispositif électronique (14). Le procédé consiste à émettre un signal (10, 10') contenant des données, à détecter le signal (10, 10') à l'aide de plusieurs antennes (18, 18'), et à mesurer l'intensité du signal (10, 10') détecté à chacune des antennes (18, 18'). Si le maximum d'intensité du signal détecté par une des antennes (18, 18') est au dessus d'un seuil opérationnel, le dispositif électronique (14) est activé. Si le signal (10, 10') est au dessus du seuil opérationnel, il est comparé à une base de données de codes utilisateurs afin d'autoriser l'utilisateur (16) à accéder au dispositif électronique (14). Il est possible de baisser le seuil opérationnel afin de prendre en compte tout écart de signal qui peut se produire après que l'utilisateur (16) ait obtenu l'autorisation d'accéder au dispositif électronique (14).
