A method of generating a control signal is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: generating one or more control messages to be transmitted; and multiplexing the one or more control messages to generate a control message block to generate the control signal to be transmitted in a transport channel, wherein the control message block varies in length according to the number of control messages multiplexed and the size of the control messages; and wherein information on the number of control messages multiplexed and/or the size of the respective control messages is not included in the control signal.

L'invention concerne une technique de production d'un PDU de commande MAC obtenue par multiplexage d'un nombre non spécifié de messages de commande et/ou de messages de commande de tailles différentes et par réduction simultanée de la marge de l'en-tête MAC à un minimum. Un ou plusieurs messages de commande (12a, 12b) à transmettre sont produits et multiplexés pour produire un bloc de messages de commande (12) et un signal de commande (10) transmis par un canal de transport. La longueur du bloc de messages de commande peut varier en fonction du nombre de messages de commande multiplexés et/ou de la taille de chaque message de commande.
