ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a radio-frequency elec- tron accelerator comprising a metal casing; an accelerating resonator enclosed in said metal casing and forming a first resonance circuit; an electron gun provided on a central inner projection of one end face surface of the accelerating resonator and directing an electron beam into an accelerating gap along said resonator axis; a radio-frequency power source for producing an accelerating voltage designed in the form of a self-excited oscillator based on a single oscillator tube provided directly on said resonator; and a coupling loop connected to an anode tank of said oscillator tube and provided in the cavity resonator for transmitting energy to the electron beam being accelerated, said coupling loop comprising a second resonance circuit formed by a separating capacitor, inductances of the anode terminal and anode water tank of the oscillator tube, and the output capacitance of the oscillator tube, the resonant frequency of said second cir- cuit being equal or close, to that of said first circuit and said first and second circuits together forming a two-circuit oscilla- tion system in the anode circuit of said oscillator.
