Operation time of a receiving section is reduced by reducing a power supply to the receiving section upon reception of the signal of a self-transmission rate when another transmission rate signal and a noise signal are received, and power consumption is reduced. A timer section counts the time since a control section starts the power supply to the receiving section, and a transmission rate detector section is operated when a predetermined time has elapsed. Power supply to the receiving section is interrupted when the transmission rate detector judges that the transmission rate of the received signal is not a self-transmission rate. This reduces a power supply time of a battery.
