ABSTRACT A radio apparatus comprises a receiver section for receiving both analog and digital angle-modulated carrier waves. Circuitry including a clock recovery circuit and a level decision circuit is capable of deciding which of the two types of carrier waves is being received so as to automatically switch in the appropriate demodulating circuit.
