Abstract of the Disclosure Transverse radionuclide scan field imaging apparatus comprises highly focused closely laterally adjacent collimators arranged inwardly focused in an array surrounding the scan field Each collimator is moveable relative to its adjacent collimator. The array is arranged to be rotated about the scan field from one scan position to another scan position. The collimators are moved in such a way that, at each scan position the focal point of each collimator uniformly samples at least one half of the scan field.
