ABSTRACT Apart from polymerizable organic binders, a radiopaque dental material contains a fluoride of the rare earth metals or mixtures of such fluorides, as well as optionally further inorganic compounds as fillers. The dental material is suitable as a one or two-component filling material for dental cement, as a crown and bridge material, as well as for producing dentures, inlays and implants and is characterized by a high radiopacity and at the same time a good transparency.
