A rail seat resistant to abrasion of the concrete rail tie incorporates a thin metal plate between the rail tie and the elastomeric rail pad which insulates the rail from the rail tie. The plate may be bonded to the rail tie or a resilient gasket can be interposed between the rail tie and the plate.

Appui de rail conçu pour résister à l'abrasion de sa traverse en béton. Cet appui de rail est constitué d'une plaque métallique mince, disposée entre la traverse et la semelle en élastomère, et isolant le rail de la traverse. On peut coller directement la plaque en question à la traverse ou interposer un joint élastique entre la traverse et la plaque.
