Rail car (SCH) with an emergency exit (NOT) on one of its front sides (FRO), where a driver's control panel (FAP) and a driver's seat (FAS) are located in an end area (END) in the front of the rail oar (SCH), with the emergency exit (NOT) located essentially in the middle of the front end (FRO), and where the driver's seat (FAS) and at least one middle section of the driver's control panel (FAP) can be pivoted from a middle driving position located in front of the emergency exit (NOT) (Fig.1) in the direction of a side wall (SEI) to an emergency position (Fig. 2) about an axis that is essentially parallel to the lengthwise direction of the rail car, so that in the emergency position (NOP), an escape area (FLR) is created in the end area (END) that is at least the width of the emergency exit (NOT) and parallel to the lengthwise direction of the rail car.

L'invention concerne un véhicule sur rails (SCH) pourvu d'une sortie de secours (NOT) placée sur la face avant (FRO), ce véhicule comprenant dans une partie d'extrémité avant (END) située devant la face avant un pupitre de commande (FAP) et un siège conducteur (FAS). Selon l'invention, la sortie de secours (NOT) est placée sensiblement au centre de la face avant (FRO) et le siège conducteur (FAS) et au moins une partie centrale du pupitre de commande (FAP) sont montés de façon à pouvoir être déplacés d'une position de conduite centrale, située devant la sortie de secours (NOT) (fig. 1), en direction d'une paroi latérale (SEI) dans une position de secours (fig. 2) de sorte que, dans cette position de secours (NOP), un espace d'évacuation (FLR) soit formé dans la partie d'extrémité avant (END), cet espace présentant une largeur au moins égale à celle de la sortie de secours (NOT) et s'étendant parallèlement au sens longitudinal du véhicule.
