KENNEDY FOR: RAILROAD AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Brake system for a railroad vehicle in which the angle cocks and cut-off valve are eliminated and supplanted by a single valve assembly in a valve housing positioned at the junction of the brake pipe and branch pipe; the valve element is in the form of a selectively positionable seal support member carried on a shaft which may be operated from a safe position at either side of the vehicle; a positive lock holds the position of the valve element and is designed to discourage vandalism.
