ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rail conveying assembly for use with a railroad removing machine for transporting separated rails longitudinally of the machine, comprises a frame adapted to be secured to the machine for pivotal movement about a longitudinal axis of the machine, a wheel mounted on the frame for rotation about a transverse axis, a retaining device adjacent one end of the wheel for permitting a rail to be seated on the wheel and preventing the rail to move transversely of the longitudinal axis, a deflector device disposed beneath the wheel, and means for rotatably driving the wheel.
