The present invention relates to a railway terminal (1) for loading railway wagons (6) with containers (7) and/or unloading railway wagons (6) which are laden with containers (7). The railway terminal (1) comprises a section of track (3) and at least one loading and/or unloading platform (4, 5). Preferably, a loading and/or unloading platform (4, 5) is provided on both sides. The loading and/or unloading platform (4, 5) lies along and adjacent to the section of track (3), and is at a higher level than the latter. Supports (11) are arranged on either side of the section of track (3), on which supports the superstructure (14), comprising the loading floor (15), of railway wagons (6) to be loaded and/or unloaded can be supported, in such a manner that the loading floor (15) of the said railway wagons (6) is held at a fixed, predetermined height during loading and/or unloading. In this case, the railway wagons (6) are preferably provided with setting means (17), in order to be able to support the railway wagons (6) on the supports (11) and to be able to lift them off these supports (11). Advantageously, there is an essentially flat connection between the loading floor (4) and the respective platforms. The loading platforms (4) may slope downwards towards the track (3), while the unloading platform (5) slopes downwards away from the track (3).

La présente invention concerne un terminal ferroviaire (1) destiné au chargement de conteneurs (7) sur des wagons (6) et/ou au déchargement de wagons (6) chargés de conteneurs (7). Ce terminal (1) comprend une section de voie (3) ainsi qu'au moins une plate-forme de chargement et/ou déchargement (4, 5). De préférence, cette plate-forme (4, 5) est construite des deux côtés de la voie, elle est située le long de la section de voie (3) ou est adjacente à celle-ci, et elle est placée à un niveau supérieur à celui de la voie. On a monté des supports (11) de chaque côté de la section de voie (3), sur lesquels la superstructure (14), comprenant le plancher de chargement (15) des wagons (6) à charger et/ou décharger, peut être supportée, de façon que le plancher de chargement (15) des wagons (6) soit maintenu à une hauteur fixe et déterminée lors du chargement et/ou déchargement. Dans ce cas, les wagons (6) sont, de préférence, dotés de moyens d'ajustement (17), servant à soutenir les wagons sur ces supports (11) et à soulever les wagons pour les enlever de ces supports (11). De manière avantageuse, on a prévu un raccordement essentiellement plat entre le plancher de chargement (4) et les plates-formes respectives (4). Les plates-formes de chargement (4) peuvent présenter une pente descendant vers la voie (3), tandis que la plate-forme de déchargement (5) présente une pente descendant à partir de la voie (3).
