(54) Title: RAIN-ACTUATED CONTROL FOR COVERING SYSTEMS Image (57) Abstract With the rain actuated control for covering systems, a device is to be provided, which is capable of automatically closing open coverings in the event of precipitation. This device must be simple and easy to retrofit on existing installations. As sensor for the rain-actuated control, two electrodes (1, 15), between which there is a layer of glass (13) and air (29), are used as capacitor in such a manner that, in the event that precipitation (30) is falling on the glass, the dielectric is changed, so that signals affect the control system, in order to close the covering system. Automobile windows and automobile bodies can be used advan- tageously as elements of the capacitor.
