ABSTRACT The "Rain Belt" is a simple roll-up rain jacket, skirt, or full rain coat. The belt consists of two long soft pouches, held together by an adjustable buckle and strap. Each pouch has a zipper running lengthwise lengthwise which holds the contents inside when not in use. Each pouch can be opened separately to allow the "Rain Belt" to be used as either a jacket or a skirt. If both pouches are opened ,then the "Rain Belt" becomes a full raincoat. The material recommended for the jacket and skirt is waterproofed nylon. The zippers and the buckle should be plastic and the pouches could be made from nylon. This would keep the belt light and rust proof. The jacket and skirt could be held together with velcro patches. If the colours and the designs of the nylon were varied, the the belt could be very conservative or quite creative.
