ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention shows a raisable cover for use with garden swimming pools and the like. The cover is guided on posts, and supported by support cables suspended from tops of the posts. The cables pass around pulleys and are jointed to a winch cable, which runs around the frame of the cover. When the winch cable moves, all the support cables move in unison. The result is that the cover rises evenly, yet the mechanism is extremely simple and inexpensive.
