A B S T R A C T A handling door including a raisable curtain that is raisable by being wound up, the door comprising a frame constituted by two vertical side uprights interconnected at their tops by a horizontal crossbar carried by said uprights, said crossbar housing a curtain wind-up soft, the uprights constituting slideways or including slidewalls for the vertical edges of the curtain, the wind-up shaft being rotated in either direction by a vertically disposed electric motor which is advantageously of the brake type, and which drives the wind-up shaft via an angle transmission, wherein the electric motor is housed inside one of the uprights, preferably close to the top of the upright.
