(1) Nowadays we use a means of transportation that allows us to walk or make our way over the snow. According to historians, this means of transportation originated with the Aboriginal peoples of North America. It is the SNOWSHOE. The snowshoe consists of an oval, elongated or round wooden frame and webbing made of leather thongs. It enables a person to walk on the snow without sinking and to travel long distances during the winter. The traditional snowshoe, though, has revealed faults that have never been corrected. Its most obvious faults are: manoeuverability, weight, waterproofing, flexibility, adherence under all snow and temperature conditions, fragility, and high cost. (2) In this invention, the use of new materials, the application of new construction processes, and the arrangement of an original design has produced a snowshoe without the above-mentioned faults. These snowshoes are light, nonslipping, waterproof, and flexible, with new applications for walking, and going up and down slopes under all snow and temperature conditions. (3) This new type of snowshoe is made without using any leather thongs, lacing or wooden frame. All of the materials chosen for the snowshoe are original.
1) De nos jours on utilise un moyen de transport qui nous permet de marcher ou déambuler sur la neige. Ce moyen de transport, selon les historiens, nous viendrait des indiens du nord de l'Amérique. Fabriqué de bois et de lanières de cuir sa forme est oblongue, ovoïde ou ronde avec un entrelacement de lanières, il empêche son utilisateur de trop s'enfoncer dans la neige et de pouvoir faire de plus longue distance en hiver. Communément appelées: ~ DES RAQUETTES ~, ces objets ont démontrés à la longue des défauts qui n'ont jamais été corrigés. Leurs défauts les plus évidents sont: la maniabilité, le poids, l'imperméabilisation, la flexibilité, l'adhérence sur toutes conditions de neige et de température, la fragilité et le coût élevé. 2) Dans la présente invention, l'utilisation de nouveaux matériaux, l'application de nouveaux procédés de construction, l'arrangement d'une forme originale nous donnent des raquettes sans les défauts précités. Donc ces raquettes sont légères, antidérapantes, imperméables, flexibles, avec des utilisations nouvelles pour la marche, la descente et la montée dans toutes conditions de neige et de températures. 3) De plus ces raquettes nouveau genre n'utilisent pour sa confection aucune lanière de cuir, lacet et ni lisse de bois pour le contour. Tous les matériaux sont originaux dans leurs choix et dans le montage de la raquette.
