An auxiliary grabbing head is attached to the spreader bar of a conventional garden rake by means of two hinges. Two torsional coil springs, retract the grabbing head in to an upright position, at all time during normal raking and storage. When the rod linking the upper cylindrical sleeve to the grabbing mechanism is pulled upward a clamp formes, producing a strong grip on the leaves and grass pile to be lifted in to disposal, thus making the lawn work much easier and less time consuming.
