During the transmission of optical signals (os) via a series circuit comprised of a standard single-mode fiber (SSMF), which is located on the transmit side, of a first optical fiber (OF1) and of a second optical fiber (OF2), which is located on the receive side, an optical pump signal (ps) is launched into the second optical fiber (OF2) on the receive side in order to produce the Raman effect in the first optical fiber (OF1). The effective noise factor of the Raman amplifier system is reduced due to the inventive selection of the first and second optical fibers (OF1, OF2) having different effective cross-sections (Q1, Q2) and nonlinearity constants (n1, n2).
Lors de la transmission de signaux optiques (os) par l'intermédiaire d'un circuit série constitué d'une fibre monomode standard (SSMF), placé côté émission, d'une première fibre optique (OF1) et d'une seconde fibre optique (OF2) placée côté réception, un signal de pompage optique (ps) est injecté côté réception dans la seconde fibre optique (OF2) pour produire l'effet Raman dans la première fibre optique (OF1). Grâce au choix selon l'invention de la première et de la seconde fibre optique (OF1, OF2) présentant des sections effectives (Q1, Q2) et des constantes de non linéarité (n1, n2) différentes, le coefficient de bruit effectif de l'ensemble amplificateur Raman est réduit.
