Abstract of the Disclosure A construction apparatus for erecting rammed earth structures includes a series of forms each having a panel with a smooth inner face and connection means for maintaining the panels in a predetermined relationship for defining a cavity to receive an earth mixture. Curved panels having smoothly curved inner faces are provided with a sufficient radius of curvature to permit removal of the forms without applying damaging tensile loads to the structural earth material. The apparatus includes internal and external corner forms and buttress forms. Rebate formers project into the cavity to form slightly weakened structural sections to prevent random cracking. Key formers span the thickness of the cavity to define bulkheads within the rammed earth walls.
