A tampon pledget that expands without the aid of moisture or menses. The tampon pledget has a plurality of high resiliency, non~absorbent materials and a plurality of absorbent materials. The tampon pledget has improved comfort as compared to conventional fully compressed tampon pledgets. The tampon pledget preferably has all of its non-absorbent and absorbent materials enclosed in a coverstock. The coverstock may be inverted or turned inside out, prior to filling the coverstock with the plurality of non-absorbent and absorbent materials. The coverstock insertion end, removal end, or both are pleated to further enhance comfort during use. A removal string may be secured to the inverted and pleated coverstock, above the removal end seal, by a top loop slipknot.

La présente invention concerne une petite compresse pour tampon hygiénique qui reprend son volume en l'absence d'humidité ou de cataménie. Faite d'une pluralité de matériaux non absorbants à forte résilience, et d'une pluralité de matériaux absorbants, elle apporte un confort accru par rapport aux petites compresses conventionnelles totalement comprimées. Ses matériaux absorbants et non absorbants sont renfermés en totalité dans une enveloppe se retournant dedans-dehors avant son remplissage d'une pluralité de matériaux non absorbants et absorbants. L'extrémité d'introduction, l'extrémité de retrait de l'enveloppe ou les deux sont plissées afin afin d'apporter un confort accru pendant l'utilisation. Un cordon de retrait est fixé à l'enveloppe inversée et plissée au-dessus du joint d'extrémité de retrait au moyen d'un noeud doté d'une boucle supérieure.
