Compensation for process direction photoreceptor motion in a Raster Output Scan system is provided by moving the cylinder lens located between the laser source and a rotating spot scanning mechanism, e.g., a polygon. The cylinder lens is moved in the process direction in response to error signals generated by a SOS detector and timing marks on the photoreceptor drum surface, or an encoder on the drum shaft. The lens movement is obtained by sending motion error signals to a piezo-electric actuator which increases in length to impart the desired motion to the cylinder lens.
Dans un dispositif de balayage récurrent, la correction des effets dus au mouvement du photorécepteur de détection de la direction du traitement est effectuée en déplaçant la lentille entre la source laser et un mécanisme de balayage à spot tournant, par exemple un polygone. La lentille est déplacée dans la direction de traitement en réponse aux signaux d'erreur engendrés par un détecteur de début de balayage et aux marques de chronométrage de la surface du cylindre du photorécepteur, ou par un codeur monté sur l'axe du cylindre. Le déplacement de la lentille est obtenu en transmettant les signaux d'erreur à un actionneur piézoélectrique qui s'allonge pour donner à la lentille le mouvement désiré.
