A ratcheting needle protector assembly including a body, a needle hub and a needle. The body has a first end and a second end. The body defines a channel extending longitudinally between the first and second ends. The body defines receiving devices for receiving a pawl of a ratchet arm between the first and second ends. The needle hub has an external portion, an internal portion and a tracking member movably mounted on the body. The tracking member is positioned in the channel. The needle hub includes a ratched arm having a pawl adapted to be received by the receiving devices. The needle is mounted on the internal portion of the needle hub. Movement of the needle hub from the first end to the second end of the body causes movement of the needle from outside the body to inside the body. The pawl of the ratched arm is received by the receiving devices to prevent movement of the needle from inside the body.
Ce montage protecteur à rochet pour aiguille comporte un corps, un moyeu d'aiguille et une aiguille. Le corps, qui possède une première et une seconde extrémité, définit une voie de passage s'étendant longitudinalement entre celles-ci et comporte également des dispositifs de réception destinés à accueillir un cliquet d'un bras à rochet entre ces deux extrémités. Le moyeu d'aiguille possède une partie extérieure, une partie intérieure et un élément de guidage dont le montage sur le corps est mobile. Cet élément de guidage est situé dans la voie de passage. Le moyeu d'aiguille comporte également un bras à rochet dont un cliquet est adapté pour être reçu par les dispositifs de réception. L'aiguille est montée sur la partie interne du moyeu d'aiguille. Le déplacement du moyeu d'aiguille de la première vers la seconde extrémité du corps entraîne un déplacement de l'aiguille de l'extérieur du corps vers l'intérieur de celui-ci. Le cliquet du bras à rochet est reçu par les dispositifs de réception pour empêcher tout mouvement de l'aiguille à partir de l'intérieur du corps.
