Disclosed is a rattrap usable for fighting rats where these occur at large numbers, e.g. in sewer systems. The trap is mounted in an elevated position and has a hanging climbing rope (12) leading up to a delivery area (20) for an alluLrement. When a visiting rat gets its nose up to this area, this approach is automatically detected, and a beater jaw (8) is actuated against the neck portion of the animal. The animal is removed from the area simply by falling down therefrom, whereafter the trap is ready for the next operation. The supplies of allurement and the capacity of the associated energy sources (battery, CO2-bottle) may be sufficient for unattended operation through such a long time, e.g. some months, that the trap may in the meantime execute hundreds of rats.
L'invention concerne un piège à rats utilisable dans la dératisation, dans des endroits où ceux-ci sont en grand nombre, par exemple dans des systèmes d'égoûts. Ledit piège est monté dans une position élevée, et comprend une corde d'ascension pendante (12) menant à une zone (20) où est acheminé un appât. Lorsqu'un rat visiteur lève le nez dans cette zone, cette approche est automatiquement détectée, et une mâchoire de frappe (8) est actionnée contre le cou de l'animal. Ledit animal est retiré de ladite zone simplement en tombant de celle-ci, après quoi le piège est de nouveau prêt à fonctionner. Les alimentations en appâts et la capacité des sources d'énergie associées (batterie, bouteille de CO2) peuvent être suffisantes pour un fonctionnement sans entretien pendant une période prolongée, par exemple plusieurs mois, de sorte que ledit piège peut, dans l'intervalle, tuer des centaines de rats.
