ABSTRACT In a wet shaving operation it is important to have the skin sur- face smooth and the hairs lifted up from the wrinkles to suit the blade(s). This inventive device does it automatically. It is adapted to a conventional razor system between the cart- ridge and the handle and constantly delivers the most favorably conditi- oned skin surface to the blade(s) resulting in a high quality of shave, thereby reducing the possibility of irritation and skin damage. Said shaving implement is a razor adaptor, features a pair of parallel arms with pivotal mounting means for connection between the de- vice and a razor blade assembly; a center portion - as parallel continu- ation of said arms - and sharing plurality of pairs of openings for recei- ving pivotal mounting connection from a handle and for selecting a prefer- red range of pressure distribution from said handle between the cartridge and a skin stretching bar fixed perpendicularly to the free ends of said center portion to constantly stretch and shape the skin ahead of said cart- ridge to suit the blade(s) following said bar in a parallel position during shaving; and finally a T shaped brace connected to the base parts of said arms and to said stretching bar to strengthen the structure of the device and to meet the spring finger at the center on the connecting prtion of sa- id handle to keep the device in a preferred angle relative to said handle. No razor systems up until now have had any provision for skin preparation ahead of the cartridge to suit the blade(s) by lifting up the hairs from the wrinkles.
