A process for manufacturing razor blades from a continuous strip of metal stock (51) by stamping a plurality of openings (12) in the strip for precise registry of the blade edge when employed in the razor and then running the stock through a device which partially slits the strip along lines which are precisely located with respect to the edges of the stock and the openings. The strip is then heat treated after which it is run through a device (55) which splits the stock along the previously slit lines to form a plurality of continuous strands containing interconnected blades disposed end to end.
Un procédé de fabrication de lames de rasoir à partir d'une bande continue de matière métallique (51) consiste à estamper une pluralité d'ouvertures (12) dans la bande de façon à obtenir un alignement précis du bord de la lame lorsque celle-ci est utilisée dans le rasoir, puis à faire avancer le matériau dans un dispositif qui fend partiellement la bande le long de lignes qui sont placées avec précision par rapport aux bords du matériau et aux ouvertures. La bande subit ensuite un traitement thermique, après quoi elle est passée dans un dispositif (55) qui fractionne le matériau le long des lignes préalablement fendues afin de former une pluralité de files continues contenant des lames interconnectées placées bout à bout.
