A wet razor with improved ergonomic properties having an elongate handle shaft (12) with a "Y" shaped yoke at the cartridge end, a bulbous proximal end (22) and a finger orienting channel (24) running down the spine of the handle ending at the bulbous end (22). The proximal end is bulbous in the direction traverse to the channel of the razor handle. The yoke bends down and laterally outward and the bulbous end bends down below the bottom surface of the handle, thus forming lateral and underside concave thumb and finger grips at foreward and rearward locations. The base of the yoke preferably has a finger rest (30) to enhance steering the razor. The bottom of the razor has a series of pads (44) depending from the upper surface for better gripping. The handle is suited for economical construction as a unitary plastics molding for female body shaving.

Ce manche de rasoir de sûreté aux propriétés ergonomiques améliorées comprend un axe de manche (12), de forme allongée, présentant une fourche en "Y" au niveau de l'extrémité destinée à la cartouche, une extrémité proximale bulbiforme (22) ainsi qu'une rainure d'orientation (24) des doigts, courant le long du dos du manche et se terminant au niveau de l'extrémité bulbiforme (22). La fourche est recourbée vers le bas et latéralement vers l'extérieur, tandis que l'extrémité bulbiforme est recourbée vers le bas sous la surface inférieure du manche, formant ainsi des prises concaves, latérale et inférieure, destinées au pouce et aux autres doigts, au niveau d'emplacements antérieur et postérieur. La base de la fourche présente, de préférence, un repose doigt (30) aux fins d'améliorer le guidage du rasoir. Le bas du rasoir présente une série de coussinets (44) partant de la surface supérieure et permettant une meilleure prise du manche. Ce manche est économique à fabriquer car il est conçu en matière plastique moulée monobloc. Il est également conçu pour le rasage corporel féminin.
