A razor head, particularly a razor blade unit arranged on the front end of a handle of a wet razor, has a front guardbar 12 and a rear cover cap 10 comprise a plastic body 1 in which a single or twin blades 2 made from steel are fixedly arranged, the cutting edges 3 of which are protected by extending protective wires 11. The razor blades 2 consist each of a steel strip of width (B) less than 5 mm and a thickness (S) between 0.05 and 0.25 mm, of a chromium-Molybdenum steel composition having a hardness greater than 620 Vickers-standard with retained austenite less than 32% in a single piece without perforations holes or the like. Each blade is placed free of vibration in the plastic body 1 and the protective wire 11 forms a protective loop arrangement over the razor blades 2 at a spacing (A) greater than 2 mm and less than 5 mm from each other, the wire having a minimum thickness of 0.1 mm with the effect of a protective foil.
