ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a razor with a handle-like lather container and detachable cap that covers and can be moved relative to a lather discharge valve of the lather container, which valve is enclosed by a linking ring, at least two projecting catches are devised as guide pieces in the cap approximately radially opposite each other on either side of a central pin, and can each be sunk into a corresponding slot in the linking ring, each slot being separated from a guide surface of the linking ring by a bead. Each slot can be flanked by two beads, which are adjoined by a wedge-shaped, upwardly inclined surface.
