A skin contacting member (1) for a razor or like shaving device. In use, the skin contacting member (1) is located ahead of a blade or blades (51, 52) of the razor. The skin contacting member (1) has channels (3) therein for the passage of hairs and having means (4) for engaging and pulling said hairs passing through said channels in advance of the cutting blades.
