A reaction training system having a playing surface, and a plurality of reaction pods in communication with a programmable controller. The reaction pods each have an indicator light controlled by the controller and a reaction sensor monitored by the controller, the reaction sensor triggered by a sports article such as a puck or ball attached to the reaction pod. The controller can be programmed to execute a training program which activates an indicator light on different reaction pods in turn. The reaction time for an athlete to respond by touching or hitting the sports article is measured and logged by the controller. The logged data is identified by athlete and data and time and can be compiled and analyzed and displayed for monitoring training progress.
L'invention concerne un système d'entraînement de réaction qui comprend une surface de jeu et une pluralité de bornes de réaction en communication avec une unité de commande programmable. Chaque borne de réaction comprend un voyant lumineux commandé par l'unité de commande et un capteur de réaction surveillé par l'unité de commande, ledit capteur de réaction étant déclenché par un article de sport de type palet ou balle relié à la borne de réaction. L'unité de commande peut être programmée pour exécuter un programme d'entraînement qui active un voyant lumineux sur différentes bornes de réaction les unes après les autres. Le temps de réaction d'un athlète, à savoir le temps mis par celui-ci à réagir pour toucher ou frapper l'article de sport est mesuré et enregistré par l'unité de commande. Les données enregistrées sont identifiées par athlète, et les données et les temps peuvent être compilés, analysés et affichés pour surveiller la progression dans l'entraînement.
