REACTIVATION OF STEAM-DEACTIVATED CATALYSTS ABSTRACT A process is provided for reactivating a catalyst composition comprising a crystalline zeolite material having a silicon/aluminum atomic ratio of at least about 3.5, said catalyst composition having been deactivated by contact with steam. The process involves the essential steps of contacting the steam-deactivated catalyst composition with a metal salt solution, followed by contacting said metal salt solution-treated catalyst composition with an aqueous ammonium ion-containing solution.
