A reactive-adsorptive protective material having an activated carbon adsorbent, including those manufactured from a gel-type ion exchange resin. The activated carbon adsorbent has adsorptive properties for adsorbing chemical impurities. The activated carbon is wettlerized to further impart reactive properties onto the activated carbon for providing protection against blood agents in the atmosphere. Advantageously, a superior reactive-adsorptive material is provided having the ability to neutralize chemical substances, in particular, blood agents, while at the same time not diminishing the effectiveness of the carbon's adsorption capabilities.
L'invention concerne un matériau de protection à adsorption réactive, comprenant un adsorbant au charbon actif, y compris ceux fabriqués à partir d'une résine échangeuse d'ions de type gel. L'adsorbant au charbon actif possède des propriétés d'adsorption lui permettant d'adsorber les impuretés chimiques. Le charbon actif est soumis à un processus dit de <= wettlerizing >= (processus dans lequel le carbone est perfusé/infusé avec des ions métalliques) pour lui conférer des propriétés de réaction et une protection contre les agents hémotoxiques présents dans l'atmosphère. L'invention concerne, de préférence, un matériau à adsorption réactive supérieur, capable de neutraliser les substances chimiques et, plus particulièrement, les agents hémotoxiques, sans toutefois réduire l'efficacité d'adsorption du charbon.
