ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A text and notes display device preferably of pocket size is associated with a location where a person can attend to events of analogue character such as a live chorus or opera per- formance, or a quasi-live radio or video transmission thereof, or a second-hand replay of a recording made of the aforesaid live sequence of events. The said display device is connected to a signal source that enables text portions or musical note portions of a score sung or spoken to be repeated in a legible form optionally in the language of the listener or beholder, or/and (especially for persons whose hearing has deteriorated) in a uni- versally understood sign language (such as musical notes).
