ABSTRACT A novel digoxin-tyrosine methyl ester conjugate and its radio-iodinated derivative are useful in the radioimmuno- assay of digoxin; the conjugate is obtainable by selectively oxidising digoxin at the 15'- and 16'-positions of the term- inal digitoxose residue thereof; reacting the resulting product with tyrosine methyl ester; and selectively reducing the product, which can subsequently be radio-iodinated with 125I.
