A system and method are provided for real time subscriber billing in a standard network routing path. Account information is stored in a channel monitor or other storage means for at least one subscriber. A determination is made, based on the account information, whether the subscriber has a sufficient balance for a desired service. Service is authorized or denied to the subscriber based on the determination and billing data is transmitted to a business management system as appropriate.
Cette invention se rapporte à un système et à un procédé de facturation d'abonné en temps réel sur une voie normalisée d'acheminement (3) de réseau. On enregistre, pour au moins un abonné (10), des informations relatives au compte dudit abonné dans une unité de contrôle (20) de la facturation par canal ou sur tout autre organe de stockage en fonction de ces informations relatives au compte de l'abonné, on détermine si l'abonné dispose d'un solde de compte suffisant pour un service souhaité. L'abonné se voit accorder ou refuser l'accès au service conformément au résultat de cette détermination et les données de facturation sont transmises, s'il y a lieu, à un système (50) de gestion des paiements.
