A method and apparatus for real-time monitoring of particulates in a fluid (200). The fluid (200) is illuminated by illuminating system (10, 16), and an image (202, 204, 212, 214) formed of the interior of the fluid (200). The image (202, 204, 212, 214) is then detected by a detecting system (20, 72, 74), and processed to determine the size, shape, etc. of particulates within the fluid (200).

Le fluide (200) est éclairé par un système d'éclairage (10, 16) et une image (202, 204, 212, 214) de l'intérieur du fluide (200) est formée. L'image (202, 204, 212, 214) est ensuite détectée par un système de détection (20, 72, 74) et traitée de façon à déterminer la taille, la forme, etc. des particules contenues dans le fluide (200).
