A voice transcription system employing a speech engine to transcribe spoken words, detects the spelled entry of words via keyboard or voice to invoke a database of common words attempting to complete the word before all the letters have been input. This database is separate from the database of words used by the speech engine. A voice level indicator is presented to the operator to help the operator keep his or her voice in the ideal range of the speech engine.

L'invention porte sur un système de transcription de la voix utilisant un moteur vocal pour transcrire les mots prononcés, détecter les entrées épelées de mots par un clavier ou par la voix, et faisant appel à une base de données des mots communs pour tenter de compléter un mot avant que toutes ses lettres n'aient été introduites, ladite base de données étant séparée de la base de données de mots utilisée par le moteur vocal. Un indicateur de niveau vocal est présenté à l'opérateur pour l'aider à maintenir sa voix dans la plage idéale du moteur vocal.
